Woodlands is an art book by Ulla Thynell, originally published in 2018 and now out-of-print. The book consists of dreamlike forest and fantasy themed illustrations, along with lyrical fragments of text, reflecting the journey through the art collection. These paintings and drawings were created mainly with traditional tools, such as alcohol ink and coloured pencils.
The 2026 Kickstarter campaign will introduce a new, expanded hardcover edition of Woodlands. All the artwork and poetry from the original 2018 book will be included, along with some of Ulla’s later works created in the same style. This new edition of the book will also feature a series of brand new paintings and drawings, which you haven’t seen before.
