Woodlands is an art book by Ulla Thynell, originally published in 2018. The first edition sold out a few years ago, but a brand new, expanded edition of Woodlands will launch on Kickstarter 4th of August, 2026. The campaign will run just four weeks – make sure to click the “Notify me on launch” button at the Woodlands campaign page, to receive a notification when it goes live!
Woodlands is a collection of forest and fantasy themed illustrations by Ulla Thynell. These paintings and drawings were created mainly with traditional tools, such as alcohol ink and coloured pencils. The upcoming Kickstarter campaign introduces an expanded 2026 edition of the book: all the content from the first edition will be included, along with 36 extra pages with new artwork. The new edition will have 96 pages total.
Woodlands will also be available afterwards from the publisher’s website atthisarts.com (USA), later this fall. Worldwide shipping is available in both cases, but please note that the Kickstarter campaign will provide much better international shipping options, which could save you up to $20, depending on where you live.
